Who Are We?
What We're Looking For?
Trip Leaders are hired as seasonal team members. Their first season typically spans three to six months, beginning with training. Most seasons conclude in October or November, though select Trip Leaders may be scheduled during our winter peak (generally December to May) based on performance and business needs.
Step 1: The Application
After reviewing the job description fill out our simple online form. It takes about 10 minutes.
Step 2: The Interview
If the hiring team chooses to move your application forward, we'll schedule a 15-20 minute live video interview with you. We'll confirm your availability during our peak weeks (especially May through September) and ask a few additional questions to help us get to know you better. Our interviews are lighthearted and we will be cheering for you!
Step 3: The Audition
Our final stage is a trip leading audition. Selected candidates may be invited to participate in a short, skills and trip leading evaluation. This is a supervised, time-limited audition designed to assess leadership, communication, and safety awareness. A flat stipend will be provided for participation.
If you’re offered a position after the audition, you'll be invited to a trip leader training bootcamp. Graduation from the bootcamp is required before entering the field. The length of the training program is dependent on the trips and roles you will be assigned to. You will be compensated for yor time.
Applications are open year-round. We are currently hiring for our summer bioluminescence season, which typically runs from May through September, with additional opportunities depending on performance and business needs.
When a tour request comes in, we review our team calendar and assign the best-fit guides within our booking system. You’ll be asked to confirm whether you can accept the assignment—please respond as soon as possible (ideally within the hour) so we can finalize the booking. Once you accept a tour assignment, you are committed to working that date.
Our compensation is competitive compared to many local operators, with pay rates varying based on tenure and additional roles or responsibilities held. Our tours are also known for being especially engaging and fun. Exceptional guides who deliver outstanding guest experiences often receive generous cash gratuities, along with additional performance-based bonuses and incentives tied to consistency and reliability.
